Today,while visiting Gujarat,the Coordinator of AAP has made two remarks one he is going to teach a lesson to BJP that it will remember for ever,second ,the accused should be punished so severely that it should send shivering through spinal cord witnessing that punishment.
We,in India have a judicial system and the Indian Penal Code for punishing the convicts.The investigating agency after collecting evidences file the charge sheet in the court of law and depending upon the arguments put forward by the prosecution and defence,the court applies it mind to the whole matter and awards the punishment.In this particular case also it has been announced by state govt that for rapid justice a special court will be assigned this case.
When the AAP coordinator says that severe and exemplary punishment should be awarded to the accused,does he mean that punishment as being given by ISIS should be introduced in India keeping our IPC aside.( many shivering videos of brutal killing by using knife in Halal style or burn the person alive by putting him in a cage etc are in circulation in social media ).What he means to say? Should Constitution of India be kept aside for punishing accused in Una case?
Similarly,when this gentlemen talks about teaching a lesson,what he want to say? How he want to teach a lesson ? By taking law into his own hand and teach lesson to his opponents?From where he derived the authority to teach lesson to any body in India.Does he believes in Indian Constitution and law of the land.
